As Spika’s COO, Shandon oversees Design, Engineering and Drafting, Production, Project Management, and Supply Chain. Shandon found his way to Spika in 2018 when looking to come home to Montana and continue his career in an engineering and manufacturing field. He graduated from Montana State University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) in 2014, after which he spent four years as Tooling Engineer for Boeing.
MSU’s MET program focused extensively on the Engineering Design Process and real world application of engineering. This focus is well suited to any manufacturing environment and has provided a strong base for bringing engineered products to the real world.
While at Boeing, he designed tools (platforms, fixtures, jigs, overhead equipment, transport equipment) to support the manufacture and assembly of the 737 aircraft. Tool design provided ample opportunity to experience many forms of tools, equipment, and processes necessary to the manufacture of aircraft in a highly controlled and safe environment.
Shandon and his team have full technical knowledge of Spika products and use this knowledge to provide engineered solutions that can meet and exceed the access needs of our customers.
Prior to becoming COO, Shandon led Spika’s Design and Engineering department consisting of a multidisciplinary group of engineers and drafters.
Shandon finds enjoyment in Montana’s outdoors with his family going hunting, fishing and camping. Shandon looks to always call Montana home and is excited to support and bring engineering and manufacturing opportunities in his home state.
